  1. Making this enchilada seasoning recipe could not be easier. If you checked the chili powder and fajitas seasoning mix recipes you can see that the important part is to measure all the ingredients correctly.
  2. As I did not have any cumin powder, I used my pestle and mortar to turn cumin into cumin powder. It only takes a minute or so to turn these spices into powder.
  3. Then put all of the other spices in the pestle and mortar and stir thoroughly to make sure the mix is well combined.
  4. Now that is all you need to do.

To store the enchilada spice blend put it in an airtight glass jar. Then put the seasoning mix in your kitchen cabinet and you will be able to use this mix for months.

It will not go bad. As long as the seasoning doesn’t get warm, this will have an impact on the flavor and taste.

The recommended serving size per pound of beef, chicken, or fish is 2 tablespoons. However, I recommend always tasting per tablespoon of seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Measure all the spices and put them in a bowl
  2. Stir through thoroughly
  3. Put in a glass jar and store in a dark place
